How to resume broken/expired files with IDM

Now-a-days I myself facing this problem. Once I was downloading a file ( 1.3 GB) and when it was almost done like 97% it suddenly stopped and a message popped up, says my file is broken or some reason IDM needs to download this file from beginning. And that message box has two options one is OK and another is NO . No matter what i click on, the file starts from the beginning. So now am gonna show you a solution to this very annoying problem. BTW it worked for me several times but am  not so sure about you guys but i guess its worth trying!! 

 

Closing IDM from explorer

Step One: When IDM shows the message that says about start downloading from beginning dont do anything just close idm from process. There is two ways to do this 1: Start task manager>process>idman and end idm tree or, 2: just right click on idm icon from explorer and click Exit.


Step two: After closing IDM from process start IDM again from Idman.exe or from startmenu. Resume your download...Now IDM should resume the file. No missing parts or anything.
