Tips for browsing faster in Firefox [part-1]

Firefox is the most popular and widely used browser as far i know, but not every user like me got high speed internet so for them here i'm gonna let u know some easy tricks...

  • Pipelining
Like most other browsers Firefox also send request to a server then wait for the response before continuing. There's a aggressive technique which let the browser send multiple requests befire any of them are received ,sometimes reducing page download times. Its called pipelining .Type about:config in the address bar then double click network.http.pipelining and network.proxy.pipelining so that their values are set to true, then double click network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set it 8.

For your information, some servers dont support pipelining so if u regularly visit these then the tweak can reduce perfirmance. If u dont fing it useful or problems then set network.http.pipelining and network.http.proxy.pipelining to false again.

  •  Faster Loading

When u dont touch keyboard or move mouse for about 0.75 seconds [content switch threshold] then firefox automatically itself enters a low frequency interrupt mode which means the interface becomes less responsive but page loads more quickly. So reducing this content switch threshold can improve performance.
Things u gotta do is...

Type about:config, press [Enter], right-click in the window, select New > Integer. After that type content.switch.threshold, click OK, enter 250000 (as a quarter of a second) and click OK.
More likely this system can make ur browsing even more faster.

  • Using Plug-ins

There's some useful firefox plug-ins which helps ur browsing faster and smoother.

1. Adblock plus : This one is da best for blocking annoying adds automatically. All u gotta do is to download it from Mozilla add-ons , then from its option add some filter preferences and ur done!

2. Flashblock: These days annoying ads using flash are seen all damn websites. It u block this u definitely should get a faster browsing for sure!
3.Image-show-hide: It can help u by simply hiding images from different websites.
